EVALUATION OF OUTCOMES OF PRIMARY PSEUDOPHAKIC RETINAL DETACHMENT SURGERY

Objective: To evaluate the results of pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) alone and combined with circumferential scleral buckling (CSB) surgeries for aphakic or pseudophakic rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD). Materials Methods: Thirty-seven eyes 37 patients who underwent PPV (20 23 Gauge) CSB due to primary RRD were included in study. Postoperative anatomical success (AS) functional (FS) evaluated. The AS was defined as a completely flattened retina without any subretinal fluids after removal silicone oil tamponade, if used. Conclusion: is safe effective cases achieves good being affected by involvement. However, may not always follow.
